 Mount Laguna- San Diego's Easy Retreat

 

Mount Laguna is just under an hour from most of San Diego and a great place to visit especially for those who are close to the 8 freeway. For those in San Diego's North County Julian and Palomar Mountain, are better Mountain Retreat Areas. For much of San Diego though Mount Laguna is an easy drive and has much less curves along the way than those other location.

 

Mount Laguna is a great place to get away from the city and enjoy the outdoors. Mount Laguna consistently has snow in February and does get dustings of snow throughout the winter season. The crisp mountain air is refreshing year round and many people venture up to Mount Lagua to view special night skys since it is far enough away from San Diego's light pollution.  

Throughout the years many San Diegians have found Mount Laguna to be the perfect location for a family retreat without flying or taking a long car ride. 

There are many cabins and camp grounds to try out the location. If you want to make the retreat more regular Mount Laguna does have great cabins available to buy so you can make great family memories year round. Mount Laguna Cabins for Sale. Many are on Federal land and instead of paying property taxes you lease the property. This does make owning your own mountain retreat a little more affordable.
