San Diego Pumpkin Patch Today is the Last Day

Oma's Pumpkin Patch Closes on November 11, 2012

By far the best pumpkin patch in East County and maybe the best of all San Diego Pumpkin Patches .

We have been going to Oma's Pumpkin Patch for the last 8 years. They area a family run dairy farm that hosts a pumpkin patch in October and now after the last few years a Christmas Tree Patch starting in late November. Through out the year they also have additional activities as well, check their calendar.

Called Oma's after their grandmother the dairy farm is a family run business and their heart shows. The pumpkin patch hayride takes you around the farm and gives you an education in the dairy process. Every day a new calf is born, we always see the baby, but have yet to be "lucky" enough to see it born. It seems it usually happens mid day before we get out of school to get there.

In the 8 years we have been going we have seen lots of changes by way of additions to the activities and games the kids can play. The pumpkin patch hayride is a great way to see all that Oma's has to offer. My kids loved it before and even as they get older it is always hard to drag them away.

By far the kids favorite thing is the cotton seed sledding, although now with the largest addition they do like the race track. When we go with lots of friends the soccer field gets used too. With the petting zoo, straw maze, games, sledding, truck pile, tons of play structures, the race track, the "jumpy", pumpkin patch hay ride, animals to look at and other activities, plan to stay a good couple of hours others wise the kids maybe upset that they didn't get to try everything.
For $8 per kid which also includes water and a pumpkin you can't go wrong, unless of course you go there on a Sunday or a Monday because they are closed. So even though Halloween is over if you haven't gone there yet this year go now, you won't regret it. And go again after November 23rd for the Christmas Tree Patch or Christmas Tree Farm because this is the kind of business you want to support and your kids will love you for it.
